Skincare Review: BeautyMint Essential Cleanser with Aloe

The Product: BeautyMint Essential Cleanser with Aloe

The Review: I wish there was a lot of interesting things I could say about this cleanser, but there's not. Well, other than the fact that it's paraben, oil, and fragrance free. I find that to be very nice, but to me, it's just a boring, normal cleanser. Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with that. However, if you like your facewashing to be an "experience" full of fun scents, bubbles, and tingly sensations, this is not the cleanser for you, because it's the epitome of bland.

Essential Cleanser with Aloe is very gentle. Pretty sure it was formulated for people with extra-sensitive skin, like my sister, who is incredibly allergy prone. While it does have a slight, almost sterile, scent, it wasn't enough to freak out my nose, so that's a plus. Also, without the "harsh lathering agents" (their words), it doesn't really lather. It does, however, get your face clean without drying out your skin. Yay, for products doing what they're supposed to. And that's all I can think of to say about it. It's a cleanser. It gets your face clean in the most boring way possible with no detrimental side effects.

My only issue with the product itself is that it's so gentle, I'm not sure it would work effectively on people who have super oily skin. People with combination skin, dry skin, or sensitive skin should be fine with it. But people with oily skin? I'm not sure it would be enough.

  1. Thank you for your honest review.
I've read some other reviews on this product that were absolutely praising the skin care system to an extent that I suspect they may have been approached with a sponsorship offer just to give it positive feedback.
So again, thank you for your imapartial review.

    1. Yay! I'm glad it helped! I usually try to research companies like Beautymint before I buy, and I saw the exact same thing. A lot of the reviewers received their products for free and their reviews were a little too... glowing.

  3. Honest review, but just to clarify: parabens are preservatives. They don't affect a cleaner's ability to lather. Sulfates are the lathering agents.
