Skincare Review: The Body Shop's Peppermint Cooling Foot Rescue Treatment

The Product: The Body Shop's Peppermint Cooling Foot Rescue Treatment

The Review: The downside to being a shoe addict is that your feet get a little abused. For whatever reason, flats give me really weird calluses on the tops of my toes, which I HATE. Wearing heels gives me supercalluses on the centers of the balls of my feet, which are much less noticeable and give me the amazing ability to wear heels for hours at a time, so I'm ok with those. But the ones on my toes. Oh, they make me angsty, and this delightful cream gets rid of them while making my summer-dehydrated feet super soft and presentable.

When it comes to foot treatments, I am not a fan of wimpy lotions. If I put something on my feet, I want it to be as thick and rich as a body butter. This product is just that: a hardcore minty foot butter that makes your feet feel like awesome with its combination of cocoa butter and sweet almond oil. It also has grape extract, a fruit acid that gently exfoliates dead skin, making cracked heels visibly less severe after one use if left on overnight or applied before wearing socks during the day. In addition, it has a ton of peppermint oil that makes your feet feel tingly and refreshed, perfect after you've spent a day torturing them with gorgeous shoes. I know that for people on a budget, it might seem a little pricey, but one container will last a long time because you only need a little bit of product at a time and it's not something that you have to apply every single day.

Long story short, I think this is a kick-ass product that does what it claims and keeps my feet looking pretty.
