Cosmetics Review: L'Oreal Paris' Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner

The Review: I love liquid liner and have been wearing it since high school. I've tried quite a few different brands, and I keep coming back to this one. Why? Because you can get a really crisp, perfect cat's eye look with it in just a couple seconds that lasts all day and all night. And I mean, all night. I can't tell you how many times I've pulled all-nighters with this stuff in college and had it still look good in the morning.

As with all eyeliners, liquid or pencil, reviews vary person to person. Whether you'll love an eyeliner depends on your technique, your skin type, and your personal liner preferences (matte or slightly wet-looking? Smudgy or precise? etc). This liner is for those who like precision and a slightly wet-looking liner. Think this:

Or this:

Not matte and smudgy, like this:

But the best thing about this eyeliner? It's almost identical to Lancome's Artliner. Actually, I prefer L'Oreal's version, because the Artliner formulation stung my eyelids whenever I applied it and flaked a bit throughout the day. The L'Oreal version lasted longer, never stung my eyelids and didn't cost me $30, so I will buy this over Lancome's pricey Artliner any day.

While there are a couple other colors you can test out, I only get the Carbon Black. I'm an eyeliner purist like that. But if you want to try out the other colors, be warned that some of them may be sheer and require multiple coats, according to some reviews I've read. I've never, ever had that problem with the Carbon Black, though.
